Rubber Toe Straps
 

Ben's Cycle used to have a set of rubber toes straps (I believe it was a layer of nylon sandwiched between two layers of rubber) for about $10 but they seem to have disappeared from the website. Does anyone know of another place that sells them? I already searched all the usual suspects (Harris, Soma, Toeclip, etc...) with no luck.

P.S. yes, I know they won't be as good as laminated leather, but leather is not an option for me.

i know what you're talking about, sakae or something? I had a pair and they held up for about 10 months, then both snapped on me in the same day. it was real rainy out, i put a little pressure on the left strap and all of a sudden my foot was out of the pedal. the right one snapped that afternoon while taking them out.

edit: if its a vegan thing, stick with either ****ty thin nylon straps or powergrips, the later being your best bet

i'm gonna try double nylon straps in a minute. i like idea of the power grips but i haven't tried them yet. i would like to but i think the lack of something holding my actual toes would be odd. i might do it though if these straps keep sucking.

yeah, I've toyed with the idea of powergrips, I'm just so used to clips/straps that the idea seems odd to me.

powergrips are fu(king lame. just man the hell up and run double nylon straps if you're so poor
