I like the syntace bullhorns with a little drop- the back sweep makes the tops next to the stem comfortable, and having the horns a little lower is nice when heading into the wind.

I prefer bullhorns with no drop but the Bontragers remind me of the Romulan warbirds of the original Star Trek.

Nitto makes 2 other kinds of horns, too.

One set has dropped shoulders.

The other set has the drops in the horns themselves.

If I had it to do over, I would like to look at the Syntace Stratos bars because they offer some subtle differences in shape that might have merit.

* Retem, please tell me are they more for fashion or function as i really am thinkin about getting them? when on the tops/sides is it comfy or can be annoying?

Retem 04-13-07 11:43 PM

nah I am running a slightly shorter stem (-1cm) from my standard set up and they are awesome very comfy greatposition great for skids great for climbing and they are stiffer than normal

I have a set of these:

I had Ben's custom anodize them gold. They are a 26.0 clamp, and I actually need a 25.4....so I have no use for them....PM me if you want them. I dont have any pics, but they match the gold of the Nitto stuff I have on my VeloSpace link below! They've never been ridden!
