I'm a full-time picture framer, philosophy student, part-time winery guy and pyrotechnician. It's all great, the winery and pyro are the most fun but i don't get to do them as often as I like.

I just bought half of a Cannondale six13 frame on eBay that I'm planning on building a shadowbox for. It's gonna look rad hanging on my wall. Being able to frame anything is awesome.

if addressed by your academically-earned title - MASTER KILL-GORE - you've got a pretty brutal name! which is to say, you're showing up to the race tonight?

evanyc 04-13-07 10:54 AM

haha nah. not feelin it tonight.

i was in a classroom yesterday and was like "for those of you who haven't met me yet, i'm mr. kilgore" and some kid freaked out and was like "mr killpeople!? what!?"

another messenger here. Been here for 2 years, riding something I pieced together myself. Raleigh frame, Formula suicide hub, DT swiss spokes, Vuelta double walled rear with steel eyelets, surley cog that i had to file round, low end rubber, KMC chain, Shimano LX cranks blackspire front ring stella italia seat, I forget the post brand, weinman double walled front rim, low end spokes, shimano front hub with titanium bearings, no name stem, and drop bars flipped and choped to bull horns. Bell fury helmet, planet bike ulock with an extra long u. Several pairs of clipless shoes. low end shimano clipleass pedals. I am going to convert to solid tires before summer, and hopefully egg beaters, and might just buy an azonic steelhead frame. Still not entirely comfortable with the no front brake issue, but someone stole my handlebars, stem and front brake and i figure the best way to stop further theft is to have no front. I am currently looking for a used chrome metropolis. and a rear track hub, but there is no serious hurry for the hub. I suppose money is the motivating factor for my interest to buy.

And hey if you are considering getting into the courier job, if the company can't offer you $100 a day Canadian, or a bennifit plan that you don't pay into, go elsewhere. Do your research. Some of the guys who work here get upwards of $130 a day regardless of how busy it is. sure they don't like it when it is busy, but they make double what i make, do your research damnit! Don't risk your life for coffee change unless you have to.

I work full time as the backstock manager for a clothing retail store. I also fix/build bikes out of my house on the side, and make large scale metal sculptures under commisions.

Ff, read up on solid tyres in the mechanics forum and on sheldonbrown.com. They don't really work except for a) wheelchairs b) trailers.
Tyre liners are where it's at.

What would you possibly want with oxygen and nitrogen tanks? NO tanks might be cool......
