I just put this one together for a friend of mine.

And I just got mine back from the powder coater after getting some special braze-ons added.

That an addition like that sure does define a townie in no uncertain terms....

I went through this thread looking for handlebar options but I've ended up being totally blown away by the nature of the bikes in here and how they are tailored to suit the owners' needs.

Fine jobs each and every one.

I love this thread!

My wife's Grand Prix, total cruising to the bar kind of bike. It got Brooks grips after this was taken.

Here's my professor bike that I just put together. It was my first bike in NYC and I bought it back from a friend that I sold it to and turned it into my professor/fancy duds/picnic/grocery bike. Still need a front rack for it, not sure if I want the Paul Flatbed or the Velo-Orange porteur rack.

i am stoked for anyone's mixte. don't own one myself, but i've obviously named myself after them. I want to see some bigger ones.

BTW the townie thread is what got me into BF a few months back. I'm glad to see updates. Have townie myself, will post pics ASAP.

i don't know specifically what qualifies as a townie, but the bike I built for my wife seems to fit at least a little.

It's an old Giant hybrid frame converted to single speed.

Very nice. I think my rebate check/hush money in May is going for a VO Porteur rack. They look really nice.

Here's mine, just trying out the soma sparrow bars, I usually just have my risers but I figured i'd give these a try. Im still waiting on my cetma 7 rail rack and I might add a front brake.

did you ever finish your bike? if so i'd like to see some pics.
