same size. but i never ride the freewheel. i only have it for real long rides, like down the shore. which only happens once a year

I made my chain fit my bigger cog first, so that my axle sits as close to the front of my dropouts as possible, and when I switch to my smaller cog its around the middle of my dropouts...

Rex quoted me almost $200 to swap out dropouts. Don't go there, he hates doing that kind of work, thus the price. Talk to Whit at Chef. He just completed the UBI framebuilding course and is starting to build frames.

So for people who ride fixed/free, do you have two brakes for when you are freewheeling? Or do you just rely on a front brake or just go crazy fred flintstone style with nothing? I've never had a freewheel on any of my fixed gears but it seems like it might be fun occasionally.

I don't ever use a freewheel on my fix because its brakeless, but I have several of other single speed bikes.

that's the only reason I never run the freewheel side on my bike, I'm not comfortable at all relying entirely on the front brake to stop.

My thinking is this, as far as freewheeling is concerned.... Mind as well ride a standard geared bike. :D
