is this a problem?
i replaced the fork on my bike with one that had a hole for a brake instead of drilling it.
the fork is about 1 cm longer than my old fork measured from top of crown race (i think that's what it's called) to hub center. aside from changing the geometry a little. is this going to be a problem? one shop said i'll break my bike. thank you very much. |
Sounds like you put a 27" fork onto a 700c frame. I've done it the other way and not had a problem, but not this way. Can't imagine it's that big an issue. What was that naysayer shop guy on?

I don't see how a 1 cm change in geometry would cause your frame to break... |

I'm looking for a undrilled fork. Any chance you want to get rid of it?
