Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? determining used value

hi, i'm trying to figure out a reasonable price to sell my iro, wondering what you all think.

here are the details:

- black 53cm iro angus (no studs for water bottle) frame/fork
- dura ace headset (hp-7410)
- 36 hole silver deep v's on miche primato pista HF hubs (built by the nice people at montanovelo)
- miche primato pista 165mm cranks w/ mich 46tooth chainring and miche bb
- kmc kool chain
- dura ace aero seat post
- black deda murex stem
- cheapo bontrager risers

The frame has paint chips here and there from messenging with the bike but otherwise the bike is in good shape.

thanks for the help

the wheelset and crankset probably cost you as much as what you'd be able to sell it for.

if i were you, i'd swap out the wheels, cranks, and seat post--you'd probably still get the same amount of money for it if you sold it on ebay. my limited knowledge tells me that most people who browse ebay to buy a complete bike are just looking for something that can ride--not necessarily high quality parts.

was hoping to selling it locally, and was hoping to get more, but maybe this is because i am asking informed people, and they are giving me the number close to what they would pay.

my estimate is correct. i wouldn't pay $200 for your bike, but probably 4-500 is a fair market value for the bike, although you probably have over 1200 into it..

put it up on craigslist for $800 or whatever you want to get for it, then guage the response. if you get a buyer great, if not, just keep droppin the price until you do... or part it out...
