high-fives?

I was riding across town on 23rd ST yesterday afternoon and saw a lady standing in the road with her hand in the air to hail a cab. I gave her a high-five as I rode by. Probably the best decision I ever made.

Anyone else?

gwhalin 04-22-07 12:28 PM

I always want to, but I know as soon as I do, the cab they are hailing will drill me from behind.

SkyeC 04-22-07 12:35 PM

haha. nice work. just be glad it wasn't chuck norris disguised as an old lady. he would've ripped you right off your bike. O_o

dblock 04-22-07 01:12 PM

that's pretty awesome. next time scream "HIGH FIVE!" as loud as you can as soon as you make contact. that's the only way it could get better i think

bklyn74 04-22-07 01:18 PM

i love giving high fives to people hailing cabs! my friends and i make a game out of it, seeing who can get the most.

What amazing timing for this thread. I was riding along today and high fived a dude (or possibly a dudett) in a giant M&M costume.

That sounds like the most awesome high-five in human history.

I also can't help but imagine how amazing that would be to witness. On acid.

thebankman 04-22-07 03:23 PM

High fives for world peace.

calf man 04-22-07 03:33 PM

I high fived a homeless guy once who was holding a cardboard sign.
I put a dollar in my palm as I came up to him and he slapped my hand so hard, I almost stacked into his shopping cart.

Do it! It's hilarious. I high-five'd one guy sitting in traffic after the National Championship Game a while back. He was probably half-asleep because traffic was at such a standstill. I wish I could've seen his face. Probably the funniest thing I've ever done on a bike.

Congrats to the OP!

i usually wave at people hailing cabs, or ask them what they're waving at me for. im also all about high-fiving while riding with other people.
