I wonder how the gear ratio works... You'd need a gigantic chainring to get that tiny wheel spinning fast enough.

I'm not great with engineering, but isn't that what the 2 chains would be for? You could link the first chainring to a small cog, then this cog is fused to another chainring that drives the next chain to the cog driving the hub. So you're effectively generating a huge chainring using a serial chain setup. Or did I screw that up somehow?

oh, and br995, I remember that guy... wasn't he on here a couple of months ago pissing and moaning because we kept telling him those little folding bikes were gonna suck to ride? He was a funny lazy bastard. "I HAVE a bike I'm just too lazy to cary it up from the basement"

We have a real folding bike in at the LBS (I say we cause I work there)

I'm not sure if its that exact model but it has sturmey archer gears, a really clever folding system and it still sucks to ride. That thing with 6" wheels would be wayyy too twitchy, but still with really slow handling. (If you've ridden one, you'd know what I mean.)

Maybe, but this bike seems only useful in walkable distances. A real bicycle would replace walking and the bus.
