Just measure the brake reach on your fork yourself and compare the quoted spec for the calipers; it's an easy way to be sure. Sheldon says exactly how to do it.

this is great, Kol.klink is like two weeks ahead of me with the same bike i'm getting, and asking all the question i have too.

i'm probably going to put a front break on as well, looking to spend no more than $50-100 for the calliper and lever combined. Any good suggestions for that cheap? Thanks!

Go to any local bike shop and bring in your bike and tell them what you need. You can get a good setup for $50 or so, or a more pricy and slightly better setup for around $100.

Yea- the 105 front brake is super good, and the levers work, not the nicest things, but they get the job done. If you want to spend more on levers, check out some others at nashbar/a local bike shop/any other online bike shop. You'll need a cable and housing too, and to re-wrap your bar tape after you install. If you are unsure of any of this stuff, take it to a local bike shop and they should hook you up.

ooh, nice price on the 105 caliper.

may i suggest the tektro/cane creek/soma/etcetcetc levers? they're quite nice, but still cheap.

+100

those levers are IMO far superior to all conventional style aero levers because of their ergonomics and the quick release. They are cheap too, one of cycling's nicer deals.

Is the Campagnolo Centaur front brake any good? I can get a set off ebay for roughly 50 shipped, is that a good price?
