why not use a traditional wheel?

aside from looks, what are you benefitting from using the aerospoke? doesn't sound like much

sounds like it takes more to keep them running

and yours seems pretty "out" (which sucks b/c of the time/money involved). Hope you get it taken care of.

Well mine is working great now. Hopefully it isn't a continuing problem, or I will have to loctite the sucker. Why use an aerospoke? I really like how they look, and that they are so strong. Yes, I do care about how my bike looks. I ride it everywhere, I might as well love everything about it.

They arent that strong... 2 days ago I watched someone crack their front aerospoke (the 5 spoked one) coming down from a wheelie. Brand new.

ive had the lock ring on my aerospoke slip a couple times. i know what your talking about when you tightened the lockring and the cog slippd back as well. but to fix that problem i just used the chainwhip and the lockring tool at the same time (going opposite directions of course) and i havent had a problem since. and that was a couple months ago.

i had the wheel tightened at the shop so we will see. i think it could be a multi-issue thing because in another forum someone told me they though it was that and it was the hub ring that was the cause. i tested it on a skid i still feel a slight slip but i know its not the cog/ ring anymore so i thing i got get the hub tightened the crap out of. boy this wheel is something else
