I'd hate to try to ride that thing. It must turn like an aircraft carrier when you get it over 25mph. Cross winds...yikes. There is a reason people stopped riding full disc front wheels in the early 90s. Especially 700c/27" versions. Otherwise it's an ok looking bike.

Last year they rode double discs on a couple of Protour time trials. Obviously not everyone, and they were select courses but it still happens on rare occasions even outside.

PS, it does look mean, mean, mean.

I don't think it gets ridden much at all, and I think it doesn't belong to recneps. See also: "Shop mascot".

All that money in the wheels, and there's no carbon seat or seatpost? Color me disappointed.

Select courses with select riders, yes. But given a pro-tour event you have say 200 riders in the TT, you might find 2 or 3 of them riding full discs front back even in ideal conditions for them.

I can remember 3 of those examples from the pro-tour last season and none of them were that great, in fact I remember two of them went down.

Now on the track, in the controlled conditions they offer....hell on wheels and bloody fast. I agree with another poster in this thread. I hope that thing sees a track and isn't just some street queen. That thing would be bloody fast on the right track, especially drafting in a line...wow!

Agreed. I guess that I was just saying that there is an application for that bike. Wether or not it is used that way is another. As for being a street queen I would assume that it would be a self correcting policy. Maybe a costly one but self correcting none the less.

Nothing fast about it leaning up against the wall like that.

Riders are fast, not bikes. A good one just slows you down less.

Sure, I'd change a few things about that ride, but I sure wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers.

Man, Blacksheep has some high end boutique ish. Lew wheels, DeSalvo, Blue, Nikolai. And I thought I blew a lot of money on bikes...

that's a mega short stem. with a properly sized frame, you shouldn't need a stem that short. it'd be a shame to spend so much on something and not have it properly fit you.

47 x 15? Does 84.6 gear inches seem a little short for a track bike or is it just me?

Love the BMC though. Shame you had to sand it.
