Bikesdirect Windsor anytime soon?
Are they sold out or getting more? seems like its been out forever. im thinking about those since it seems like a solid track frame, granted you get what you pay for. id just need to swap out some parts.
has anyone contacted them? im thinking about emailing them in a bit. |
If you do let us know what they say, they seem to keep saying anyday now. First it was mid April, then mid May, now no indication.

does anyone know if those sticker come off easily?

I asked about a week ago they said 6 weeks.
(assuming you're refering to 'the hour' ) |

a couple of my buddies have ordered from their site. My friend who ordered a 54 was able to swoop on one in about a month and a half or so. My other friend who wanted a 52 waited a good two months until a bikes direct rep contacted him and said it wouldnt be available till june. He already put his money down and they ended up giving him a messenger for the same price...

i think i like the looks of the motobecane better anyways

On another said, it was started by the bikesdirect guy that
these bikes were "on the water," en route to California via Taiwan, and they'll be available shortly. |
The Hour
Windsor THE HOUR seems to always sell out quick - but we have a group on the way now and they should be in about 4 weeks from now [around June 20th 2007]
We are really stocking these up for the fall - seems track bike and cyclo cross bike sales take off in Fall and winter mike |
Does the Messenger use Formula hubs, or are the different?

Anyone have weights on BD singlespeed bikes?

Looks like the Mercier Kilo TT's have arrived. They're listed on Ebay. Worth the extra $30 over the Windsor if you ask me.
|
Looks like there is a Reynolds 525 sticker on the green one. I'm thinking if I can get $350 out of my used too-small steamroller, I'm going to pick one up.

I've seen Sturmey Archer gripshifts that predate Sachs/SRAM designs by several decades. |

for $350 you might as well get the real deal. cycle smithy in chicago has the fuji track 06 on sale for $350 and the khs flite 100 for $450. i don't know that they do shipping, but it might be worth it to call and ask.
i'm going in to pick up my fuji on tuesday (omfg excited). |
