How to look stupid in front of a good looking female

the other night i was leaving the bar slightly buzzed but at this point wishing i was hammered so i don't sound like such a klutz. i was walking my bike off a curb by holding the seat...once the front end went off of the curb the handlebars/wheel flipped around causing me to step off the curb in a weird way. that weird way involved me rolling/spraining the sh*t out of ankle. while i'm falling my chain/lock that's around my shoulders swings up and pops me in the mouth. sooooo, i'm on my back, rolling around in pain with a busted lip and everyone knows that it's somehow related to me walking off a curb.

I guess I'm not surprised about the wording so much as the fact that the person you missed said connection with actually went on CL and looked at the missed connections section.

One time I almost considered crashing into a car with my bike because the girl driving it was really cute.

Last week i was riding and a cab full of nice yonu ladies went by and I caught up at the lights and trackstanded next to the back door while I smiled at them charmingly. They didn't look! So I had to pace the cab for several blocks looking into their side window smiling charmingly. I was getting a little tired doing it because we were pretty much flying! I was about to skitch the car and say hello, but then a red light came up without me realizing it and I flew through the intersection past the taxi and almost got creamed! They didn't even look at me! I thought I was all that but I wasn't... my street came up so I gave up.

On Saturday I was hanging out outside the bicycle film festival with my tall bike. My bag was on the opposite side of the bike and I tried to lean the bike over so I could reach down over the top tube of the bottom frame to pick up my bag. I couldn't quite reach so I leaned the bike another inch or so which caused me to fall with my arm/shoulder tangled in the bike. It was really painful and there were about 15 people at the bike check watching and laughing.

At this point I'm nearly immune to embarrassment due to my high level of clumsiness and bad luck. The only time I'm really embarrassed is when I break something that doesn't belong to me or hurt someone else. Oh yeah, and when I make other peoples kids cry but that's only happened twice.

Its hard to explain. I heard the scrape and then felt me going down but it was like slow motion and the whole time I was thinking 'pedal strike...I'm falling........I fell' Ahhh.........nothing like a female to make the world stand still sort of.

all i remember about my strike was me:"hey" (loud metal sounding crack noise) me:"hey from the ground 15 feet from where i last saw you"

also, on the vid thread theres a link to a japanese keirin racing site which has vids, in an effort to avoid other falling riders a lot of the time those guys get pedal strike.. its painful to watch.

Me too... and the combination of 1) sheer klutziness, 2) really bad memory, 3) high pain tolerance, and 4) fragile blood vessels (I bruise *ridiculously* easily) mean that I am pretty well guaranteed to have at least a half dozen mystery bruises at any given time, and that's in between the more dramatic incidents. (I have injured myself while getting dressed....)

Luckily, I'm a girl, so I get more sympathy than y'all do. Sorry, guys.
