Too good to be true?

$160 Chromoly Track Frame.
Dozens for sale in all different sizes.
Someone tell me why I should be suspicious.
Yeah, there are no decals, and no brand name, but is there such a thing as a bad chromoly frame?

Wheel and sprocket are a legit comp. I don't have any experience buying from them but they have to keep their reputation so... It sounds good to me.

Cynikal 05-30-07 01:42 PM

6.75 lbs. Cheap but heavy.

yes. too good to be true. probably not really a bike frame at all, but rather "frame shaped bike product."

"Too good to be true?"

More like "Too cheap to be good."

I bought a sprocket from them once.
I would probably buy a sprocket from them again.

Dunno about an entire frame though.
I like to see that sorta thing in person first.:)

Ugly welds, heavy, unnecesary brazeons, and drilled for a rear brake.

do a search, if durability and price are more important than weight and appearance i'd say this is a good option.

edit: i've also ordered from them and the item was delivered on time and as described.

Nice looking frame for the road (braze-ons and drilled) but too heavy...
