beg yr pardon.
I should have said: "you can either deal with it or not." or: "you can either choose to deal with it or choose not to." or something else not meaning to imply you lacked testicular fortitude. that was not my intention. |

I guess this is one of those rebranded Olympic ones:
http://centerportcycles.com/website_...ages/Twigg.jpg From this website http://centerportcycles.com/pages/sc...rapbook02.html "I didn't take this picture. Annie Liebowitz did; for a photo essay on Olympic athletes in Vanity Fair. I'll probably get sued if she finds out that I'm using it. Anyway I think it is a very cool shot of Rebecca Twigg. "Twigg was a many-time World Champion in the pursuit. She must have been traveling in this area because she showed up at one of Vito's training races in Uniondale. Those races were run as one big field, no separate categories, so we got to ride with her. I remember that she had a very distictive pedaling motion. At the end of the race there was a break away up the road and Rebecca was one of those left to contest the field sprint. There were probably 50 men left in the peloton but it came down to Twigg and Jim Lehane at the line. "The skinny little girl prevailed and Lehane had to hide his face for a few weeks. As usual, after the race, most of the group went over to Giuseppie's in Westbury for pizza and beer. Rebecca was with Leslie and Harvey Nitz. She was at least as shy off the bike as she was assertive on it. She sat there like a little mouse. After a while she loosened up but she still didn't have much to say. Uncharacteristicly, niether did Jim." |
"the skinny little girl..."
WTF??? Did the author actually look at her legs? |

btw guys since I can't get the GT I'm just going to go with the Schwinn Madison. It's cheap as hell. I'm guessing this is less than wholesale, because I doubt bike shops make that much off each bike... Keep posting links for GT's for sale if you want, but for other people. I don't really understand if you guys were posting those for me or something. http://www.djforums.com/images/smilies/10_confused.gif |

Not sure if you caught this in the ebay thread yet or if it is even close to your size, but...

I'd kill for a GT track frame.
Just give me the name... Seriously, I've been riding a road GT frame fixed for a while and it's just not the same. I'll be watching this thread intently. EDIT: I've also considered getting the Paterek manual and making my own, but the seatstays look like it'd be beyond the skills of a beginner. |
I love GT's. they are the black car from mad max.
I don't own the pulse model but it rides fine on rough-ass streets nevertheless |

Yeah I would love a GT. I rocked an old iDrive back in the day. I loved that bike so much.
|

i have a GTB. and love it. i have had it for 2+ years, ride it everyday and have never had a problem.
re: it being teeth-chattering stiff, it is aluminum.... so deal. i have ton of longer rides on it (max was about 150 miles in a day) and have been fine. so yeah... |
I also have a GTB.
Had her for a year and half now and also ride her everyday. I've done some pretty long rides and have a long commute and it's not bad. |
