get the iro the more lax geometry will be better for commuting

is the geometry of the Kilo really that much more track than the IRO and Bianchi? I plan to ride this around the city.. and never on a track.

Significantly more than the IRO, about the same as the Pista.

I love how this thread devolved into people sharing photos of their Kilo TT. How many times do we have to see the same ****ing bike? I guess I should stop reading the thread rather than complaining about it.

What did you expect from a thread named "Mercier Kilo TT Pictures"? Seems to me that if you didn't want to see pictures of the Kilo TT, you wouldn't follow a thread named "Mercier Kilo TT Pictures".

The intent of the thread was not to share your pictures of the Kilo TT, but was a response to someone asking the OP for pictures of his new Mercier.

I don't care one way or the other, I just thought it was funny how the original meaning of the thread got lost as time went on.

stock except for the pedals which I still need to add the clips on. this is a 60CM, all they have left, but it fits me (barely).

Add another one to the mix; just got mine (60cm green) and assembled it, although I immediately replaced the stock cog/lockring with a Dura Ace/Surly combo. I just gave it a quick mile or two ride, and it seems to be pretty decent for the price. The pedals, bars, and stem suck, but I think that's largely due to personal preference. The wheels aren't the greatest, but they aren't bad.

I'm happy with my purchase.

I am going to spare you another set of pictures of a bone-stock Mercier Kilo TT, however. You can thank me later.

I post this on another thread, but it looks like Bikes Direct is selling just the Kilo TT frame for $175 shipped.

If any of you Kilo TT owners (or Messenger, or The Hour, or even the Dawes Lighting SST) have your bikes on Velospace, I started a "Bikes Direct Fixies" cluster:

https://velospace.org/viewcluster?c=132

If you want your bike in there, just give me the number and I'll toss it in.

If you see any other "Bikes Direct" fixies on Velospace that aren't in the cluster, PM me their number (either here or there) and I'll add them.
