The frame is 53cm. The stem is some random stem I found on Ebay. I forgot what brand was on it but i quickly stripped the original beat up black paint and gave it a polished look.

thnx for the comments.

Peitrus, where are you from? The background in your picture looks familiar, but I can't place it.

Your bike is stunning by the way. About the only comment I can make is to swap out the crankset at some point for something a little classier looking, to match the rest of the job you've done. But that's a really nice looking bike you've got there.

Hey thnx for the advice. Yeah, I'm getting around to it. New crankset should set it off real nice. I took the picture in my front yard. I live in Reche Canyon in Riverside county, southern CA. Not many people up here. Would be interesting if you happen to live near by.

In a moment of weakness...

I was at the Toronto bike show with hubby & friends... and bought a KHS Flite! I was pretty impressed: front brake, fixed cog on a flip flop hub, 36 hole hubs (loose bearings, so can be self serviced), and pedals with clips.

$520 CDN. Good deal?

I'd say that's a pretty bangin' deal.

thank you, but sorry. I have no idea what the angle is. The seller on ebay was not very descriptive. I want to say its between 20 -25 degrees?

Yeah, I did that earlier. The noise went down a considerable amount. Now, I need to lube it, then I will be good to go.

hmmmm i recently purchased a threaded headset and quill from a local fixed gear shop and got them installed there. they are both from origin 8. def not the best, but just needed a cheap part to replace my old headset and fork. (accident) i thought everything was fine, but while riding i noticed a "clunking" sound coming from the front. After examining, i found out that my fork is loose and will jiggle forward and backwards. Then i concluded something must loose insead the headtube, heaadstem, etc. Did the shop mess up the installation?

the new fork i bought is from bikeisland.com and is the short threaded fork. and as mentioned, origin 8 quill and 1 inch threaded headset. anybody else have experiences with this. don't want to pay for labor to get this checked out. how do i fix my bike?!?!?!

Read this
https://www.parktool.com/repair/readhowto.asp?id=127
your fork may just need to be tightened a bit more and may have nothing to do with the parts installed at all.

agreed. wish i had gone with brown dp18s.

i'll fix that with my new salsa brown bar tape and a new brown saddle to really make my bike look like a shoe.

Haha thanks, and I know what you mean. It wasn't the most original thing I could have done... I'm kind of wishing I'd gotten black rims instead of white.

Or I need to do something completely outrageous to it to make it original.... I don't know what

Yeah, what do you think of that blue...it came out a little more teal than those pics off of bike Island but it seems to work really well with the white wheels and tape.

Yeah that could be cool. Perhaps more practical too, because I feel as though I ride the bars upfront more than I do on the tops. I got the brake and lever for free though so I've been running it as it is for now.

Thanks for the comment :-)

seriously, that blue is just amazing.

i dont get why there is the blue unmarked frameset on bike island, but no blue on BD.

was it because the blue sold out at BD?

same thing in the other direction, colors available on BD, but not on BI.

anybody know why this is?

ALSO: @ adriano, syncmaster, and cc700

the internet makes the world seem like a smaller place. in reality though, all three of you have ill looking bikes and live nowhere near each other. i wouldnt sweat it if i were you guys. amazing job and props to all three of you.

that been said, if you guys are still looking to mix it up a bit, im going to be ordering a teal wheelset (velocity deep v) in the near future. if any of you want to swap me a white deep v for a teal one, front wheel ONLY, unless your rear wheel has a fixed fixed hub. however, since my wheels would be brand new, i would like some cash in addition to the wheel. let me know what you guys think...
