I have never really bothered myself with others' fit.

Comfort is different for every person (however uncomfortable it may look), but they will eventually figure out if the fit is wrong, hopefully.

I think it's to up the hype that these are "true" track bikes instead of fixed gear road bikes. I would guess most owners swap out to a lower gearing right away and/or throw a brake on.

I'm going to assume to
A. Give Bike Island more business.
B. That's the stock and cheapest Cog and Chain Ring BD's factory uses.
C. No brakes on the Kilo because it's the "most track" of all of BD's SS/Fixed Bike offerings.
D. A mixture of the above.

Thanks for the ups man. And no, the straps are really blue. I like having a little touch of color that doesn't go with the rest of the bike. If they were black, or white or honey, it would be too color coordinated for me.

Yeah, I've been debating the stickers. I was going to make it a sticker bike, but I never got beyond the few that are on there. Now I want it simple.

Has anyone rattle-canned their black Mercier to cover up the decals vs. taping it with the black vinyl?

I'd love to see the results.

If no one has, I might be the first to post pics in a few days.

My roommate did his right when he got it. He just used some black enamel and the match is pretty much spot on.

I've adjusted the seat since yesterday, had to tinker with it for a bit to get it comfortable for me, it is now moved back more and the seatpost has been raised.

Oh wow, that is bothering me to no end because I can see the difference.

The match is pretty close, though; I will give him that.

I'm thinking the same. I blew the picture up 300% in Photoshop and it doesn't look off to me.

At least, not any more off than the head tube vs the top tube... and that is just the light.

haha i had the same dilemma. i now have a few very understated stickers that you cant really notice from a few feet away

as far as the vinyl stickering goes. i did it and you can barely tell except for where i messed up in laying down and there are some wrinkles. even then youd have to be inches away to notice it.
