yeah, when going slow I still catch the tire a lot, I try pointing my heel down so my toe isn't sticking straight out, helps some. I like it so far, first fixed gear, and haven't rode a bike in over 7 years, so definitely had some sketchy times already. Been skateboarding again, the last two years so I got some balance but definitely getting more back as I ride more.

WARNING!! Make sure you tighten the headset when you setup this bike. My headset was lose. I have heard people damaging their fork because of this. I started to hear "ding" sounds when I started going over the slightest bumps. Just a heads up. I got a Black 53 this week and its been riding smooth so far.

I just got mine today (50 cm), and when I put it together and rode it i realized my toes hit the front tire when turning the wheel. Is this something that is normal, or did I do something stupid while assembling it. I haven't really rode it because I don't have a presta bike pump, that kinda pissed me off, and I work all weekend so no time to go to the shops

Yes, it's normal, Z. If you ride the bike enough you eventually won't even think about it and it should become a total non-issue.

I cant believe this bike isnt the new Pista.
I used mine as a commuter on crappy farm
roads in Vt and never had any problem with it.
disassembled and greased everything and did the
normal set-up stuff, geared it down a little for
huge hills and just rode. The rims needed a tiny
bit of tweaking about 3 weeks after I got it but they
stayed true despite getting hammered.
Im getting a green one next !!

I got mine yesterday. I put on a front brake, my old pedal/powergrip, and my old comfy vetta saddle and took it out. It's a big difference from my conversion and was lots of fun on my short commute.
Fun! Fun! Fun!
I'm going to get a 17t cog this afternoon and I see some new bars in the near future, but other than that i'm very happy with it. I was a little worried about the fit, but that tt and stem combo is just about perfect for me.
Woo! Fun! Woo!

Awesome - and I dig the green frame (I have the black one) !
Now please, sell me the stock seat.
I really like it and mine is getting a bit worn from thousands of miles of good use.
PM me !!!!
Another note, I have modded mine a bit since I retired it from track-only use...
flat bar chopped real short, front brake, geared it down to 49x17... still have the velocity Vee's with DA short-flange hubs.
I have since change the saddle because I liked it so much I put it on my road bike... I got a crappy saddle from an online shop but its not as good as the stock TT saddle so I MUST have another one !!!
=)
