i have 2 other bikes, a 58 and a 59. different sizes because of different top tube lengths. i'm 6' tall but i have long legs, long arms and a 35 inch inseam. i got this 57 because of the tight, twitchy track geometry, i wanted a slightly smaller bike i could control easier. the next size up is 60 cm. i could ride it but i'd rather size-down for this bike.

my mercier....i had no idea this was so popular...but it makes sense cause it is a sick deal!

im running some stock parts except for handlebars, pedals, tires (the kenda's sucked!), front brake

next changes will be risers, a shorter stem, and a new headset....need the headset first cause of an accident i was in slightly damaged mine

if anyone has an shortish stems laying around ro risers that you'd be willing to sell off, shoot me a PM!

I was looking at the geo for the Kilo tt, and the 53, which is 56 c-t has a 54.8 top tube, is the short-ish tt due to the steep-ish st angle which is like 74 i think.

edit: bikes direct lists differnt lenths than the mercier website, and anybody confirm the actual leanth of the tt on any of the bikes so i know which list to go off of?

One year later and still awesome. I bought mine from Gene Spicer for $180.00.

To the OP, what size cranks are you riding on? I have zero overlap on mine and I ride 165mm with GR-9's and Soma clips.

How did you get rid of the decals and what kind of stem is that?

Gene Spicer sells them sans decals. Technically, mine was a KHS Flite 100 with a threadless stem. Deda Road stem, not sure which one... I bought it in the wanna trade thread.

So your overlap is probably caused by the fact that your frame is a 50cm and mine is a 56cm. Oh well. Nice car, too.

Got mine squared away now.

Soma urban pursuit bars, inline lever, tektro Caliper, powergrips, old faithful vetta saddle, and a 17t cog to make it a little better for around Austin. I also did like psychosaif and covered the graphics with some vinyl tape.

Looks Great!!. I would take that sticker off the seat tube. Did you replace the cog yourself? what kinda tools did you use. I want to go with a 14t.

Did it myself (Well, with my roommate). I rota fixed the old one off. The lock ring was a *****. It's so soft the lockring tool would just strip it out. I eventually had to bang it off with a mallet and screw driver. For the new cog, I just put it on and rode around the block a couple of times and then tightened down the new lockring.

BTW I've got enough tape left over to do another one. PM me if anybody wants it.

Damn, Kirk, that sucks. Hope you're gonna be OK.

Try bits of white and/or orange, or orange/red, to riff off the yellow wheels. It doesn't have to be two-tone, it can have complementary colors too.
