Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

for the record. i removed the BB last night and while it had a smudge of grease it was a very, very small smudge. i also had to use a breaker bar to get it out. my kilo now sits purely as a frame and i will most likely be riding my schwinn while i build the kilo up. gotta decide on a color first.

Yup. What was gold is now black (except for the rails). It's with a black paint marker. It came out surprisingly legit and clean.

ThunderChunky got it. They're chop and flop track bars.

I'd be willing to sell my Regal for around $70 or better offer. It's one of the ones with titanium rails.

Apparently the creaking is the stock stem not the headset.

I got a ridiculous amount of creaking with my stock stem when the wedge that goes in the tube wasn't greased up well enough.

I'm confused, are just the framesets coming in new colors or will the complete bikes have new colors too? If so why can't I prepay for a 50cm White? :/

I just emailed bikes direct this question (because I too wanted white) and I was told it is only the black and the green. So the other colors are apparently only in the frame set.

most people will say the RD's are better than the Touros. In my experience the threads striped out of the Touro arm and I replaced it with the RD's. Im pleased with the RDs so far.

The BB will be English and you want to get one that matches the cranks you buy.

I am bored so I thought I'd finally post some pictures of the dirty bi1ch. Sorry they are big, I am lazy

I got the bike complete, but I changed out almost everything. Only stock components remaining are the crankset/BB, seatpost and clamp.
