what kind of freewheels fit the kilo? I was looking at the white industries eno, but they are way too damn pricey! Any recommendations?

Any common, standard BMX freewheel will fit. Shimano and ACS make good ones.

anyone use the MKS half clips? I have some toe overlap that I'm looking to get rid of. I rock a 53cm.

please do yourselves a favor, buy new tires and install them immediately, i've burned through 3 tubes already after owning this bike for a week and a half, thats 25 bucks. a tank of gas is only 40 and that will take me a hell of a lot longer to go through, so pissed.

It is for the Mercier Kilo, the tires are awful, very very thin and very prone to flats. The only 3 things I can recommend changing on a new Mercier is the tires, toe straps and toe clips. The rest holds up pretty well. I have over a 1k miles on mine and the bike still looks like new.

I did put on my favorite saddle which went a long way but the saddle that comes with it looks OK but never tried it.

I love my Kilo and I try to break it everyday and it just keeps going, I love that I don't have to care about it, it's so inexpensive. It's a stress free bike, i rarely lock it up and just drop it on the ground while at the market and I still get lots of compliments on it. Go figure!

My goal in starting this thread was to capture all the correct information in one spot for the good of the community. I didn't realize it would grow into this monster "Look at me, I have one too!" picture thread.

I guess we should all be grateful the insanity is mostly contained to this one thread?

Yes, because it was a response to a question someone asked macncheese about his new Kilo TT. The purpose was never to share Kilo TT pictures. There is a thread titled "Your Fixed Gear/SS Photos!" for this specific purpose.

I actually was just checking the bikes direct website..They state to get a 53cm for a standover of 31.5 inches..Get a 57cm if your standover is 33inches...Measure up and see what ya' got between your legs

thanks jdeane, i actually just remeasured my inseam and was more like a 32.75"... so i think the 57cm if the correct standover is 33" might be cutting it a little to close...

I had the same questions about standover room when I was getting me kilo tt. But everyone here told me that - you should not care about standover - how many times will you be standing still on your bike? What should be more important is the TT length - and if it will comfortable for you to ride

Looks like velocity Fusion rims, Formula hubs and bladed spokes. Seat is a classic saddle, I believe it's a San Marco but can't remember the model but it's from the 80's. Hope this helps
