Hey Kilo TT owners. Did you replace the inner tube as well as the kenda tires? I blew up my stock kendas and i'm thinking of just patching it up and replacing the tire.

Has anyone upgraded their BB yet? I know the stock one is 103mm and isis... but almost every site I go to doesnt have that size listed. Can anyone shed some light on replacing this?

I havent been able to get new handle bars yet, but like, the drop section spins 180, are these bars 2 piece? The top of the bars dont move but the drops do. any idea?

As it happens, I'm replacing mine now. You can either use the Sugino BB105 (see here) or you can use a Phil 108mm. I'm using the Phil with Sugino 75 cranks.

As I mentioned above, I'm replacing the crank/BB in my Kilo. When I removed the BB it did not have a speck of grease, none, nada. I've only had the bike for a little over a month and haven't ridden it a whole lot and then only in good weather but even so it took a 1.5' breaker bar to remove the flanges. I admit I could stand to work out a little but with that kind of leverage using all my strength I barely was able to remove them.

It's a pain in the butt to take everything off but if yours is like mine it might save you some serious trouble in the future.

ya i stripped the BB but luckily i was able to pry it off with a serious breaker bar and there was no grease on mine either.

im planning on a new bb and crankset in the next few months

i really wanna go with that sugino bb with sugino RD or 75 crankset. ive heard things about how with the RD you can possibly have chainline issues, will this be remedied by the proper bb (the sugino one you linked)?

also im pretty sure my seatpost is seized. sweet

so far i love them. i hear from some people that they suck and rip after two or three months, but i've heard from other people that they are awesome and will last a long time. i have the new synthetic ones, i hope they last me a while.

Last night, I had Brian (Straws) come over to help my take off my cranks and replace the BB. We couldn't get the cranks off. It was ****ing ridiculous.

The bottom bracket is NOT ISIS! It's a powerspline...a similar spline interface but NOT ISIS. They are ONLY available through Truvativ. The bearings suck. Best to buy a square taper set when you replace any part of the crankset. A few Kilos came stock with square taper sets but they're usually the older ones.

The only way to get them off the frame, yes. Lots of people tape over them, though.

quick question! This might have been covered but its really not practical for me to sit and read 88 pages. The kilo TT seatpost is 26.8mm. is it ok to use a 27.0 will it fit? i bought a kilo frame off ebay and the guy threw in a bunch of parts and one was a 27.0 easton seatpost.

I once thought I had a seized seatpost on my 70's Coppi until I had a friend of mine who plays defensive line for Appalachin state and weighs 325lbs give it a try. If you can't get it find someone who's really strong and have them give it a try.

so after looking over the sizing chart again, i am still unsure if i should go 50cm or 53cm? I'm 5'9" with a 30" inseam.

i went with a 53 and hoping it won't be a tad too big for me...
