You are about to enter a world of pain

Wow. That's the most amazing velo picture I think I've ever seen. It's capturing the tiniest part of a second before he touches the floor. Once he does...

Ouch

AND he won the race:
FGG post

These guys really need some thought bubbles.....nary has a better photo for a caption contest been seen

queerpunk 06-14-07 07:40 AM

holy ****. are they just crossing the finish line? wow. amazing.

morbot 06-14-07 07:56 AM

that is a pretty extreme wheel failure, it is completely outside the fork? i love that flying tire

jyossarian 06-14-07 08:01 AM

Whoa, that wheel broke right through the fork. I hope wood hurts less than concrete.

Note to self: Don't switch tubular glue with mayonnaise.

piwonka 06-14-07 08:15 AM

mark it zero smokey.

piwonka 06-14-07 08:17 AM

actually, that looks like a clincher rim....but that is so far back maybe that's what tubular rims looked like...who knows.

wroomwroomoops 06-14-07 08:18 AM

Thanks for the most amazing sight for today.

Luckily, those guys were clad from to to bottom except elbows. At least a bit of protection.

humancongereel 06-14-07 08:22 AM

dammit, i thought this was going to be about the big lebowski.

Sorry to disappoint. But I thought the combo of the quote/reference and picture would be appropriate. A little morning fun. *Smiley*

Smokey, this is not 'Nam. This is bowling. There are rules.

max-a-mill 06-14-07 11:13 AM

your wheels broken dude....

you really gotta wonder if he won? before that wheel exploded i suspect he was a hair ahead of the other dude. would definitely be the coolest win ever.

caloso 06-14-07 11:20 AM

That fork is going to leave a 10 foot long divot in the planks I bet.

[Wait, is it weird to use the future tense about an event that probably took place 50 years ago? The track has been repaired, these guys are probably in retirement homes, if they're still around....]

HelluvaStella 06-14-07 11:39 AM

On the FGG site (see the link) it say's he won.

cc700 06-14-07 11:45 AM

that's amazing.

such an awesome picture.

SeanBonham 06-14-07 11:45 AM

You want a new wheel? I can get you a wheel, believe me. There are ways, Dude. You don't wanna know about it, believe me.
