Removing Grips??

I recently switched from drops to risers and put the grips on. Now I have decided that I want to cut the risers down a lil. I sprayed some WD40 into the grips when I put them on thinking it would make it easy to get them on and off...negative, they won't budge.
Rather than using a razor blade and dumping them, is there an easy method to get them off and be able to re-use them??

TIA

plastic knife dipped in soapy water, run the knife under grip, twist and remove.

What kind of grips?

oury? anyway windex is what i normally do. I spray it onto a butter knife and spread it around inside until they they start flexing a little then spray a good amount inside and work them off.

I just use BBQ bamboo sticks and soapy water in a spray bottle

I stand by rubbing alcohol and the butter knife method. It
works equally well for removing and applying.

I found the alcohol to evaporate too quickly and I just used 60%

I actually used a letter-open to get under the grip, sprayed Windex and worked it back & forth a little bit and it slid right off.
Prior to posting the question, I was actually going to slice them off with a razor and buy new ones!?!
