new here

i thought i might introduce myself. people call me deuce, i'm 25, and i live in chattanooga, tn. alright i'm new here so if there are rules about asking, i didn't see them. i've been reading about fixies and ss for quite a while and i've been itching to convert my old peugot. can anybody point me to a conversion tech article, a how to, or just give a new guy some pointers. i appreciate it guys. hope to make some new friends.
take it easy,

Deuce

There's gotta be a lycra/roadie/road forum joke in there somewhere.

Those sheldon articles were my guidance when I first started riding fixed, that used to be the only place on the internet I could find really useful info on fixed gears.

thanks for all the help guys. i've never actually ridden a fixie before. you guys think it might be better to start off with an ss conversion and then go for a fixie or should i just go balls deep from the start?

If you want to ride fixed eventually, then just do it from the start. You won't have to rework your setup, and it's fun anyway. You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner either way.
