Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I really want one of those cinelli stems. Or any of the old two piece looking ones.

I was gonna get some of those chain tensioners. They won't match my bike at all though.

i wish i still had my old Abeni frame. that would have been good on this thread. unfortunately it met a sad end against the rear door of a car one day twenty years ago.

Anybody there got a Kitchen frame? Should be a bright yellow..

red boots.....sorry, but they matched the frame, and I love a modicum of coordination.

keeping the beloved thread going, another paconi.

BMX style from the g.o.n.z.lab

My latest build in one of its guises. It's a 50s/60s (?) Repco pathracer, probably built by the Robert Bates. Still got a few bits to find......

G'day all,

Thought I'd share my latest build-up project. It's Australian, it's a Kenevans.

This one was "Project Ken". She turned out pretty nicely if I do say so myself...

A detailed description and more more pics can be found here.

but I will post these images:

Since taking these pictures, my girlfriend has informed me that her camera has a macro setting, which I had failed to find, so I'll try and get some more detail pics on the next fine day we have!

And one fine day just before Christmas, I took her out on her maiden voyage at Carnegie velodrome in Melbourne. She went a treat, even if she is scarily low at the front, skinny in the wheel and light all over!

Compared to a mountain bike, that is...

Yeah thanks, good one Dimos - I did research - and found that there was no real consistent place for all the decals, and that included looking at your bike... Of all those example, each had slightly different decal sets, applied in slightly different locations. Short of calling up Ken in Geelong and asking him, I had to make an educated judgement!

BTW - these decals were based upon your set from Michael Swantak, but adapted and improved (by Omar) and then printed by Cyclomondo here in Aus. The set that Cyclomondo is now selling on ebay is the one that I/we created for this bike.
