Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Gross...

Where's that bamboo bike? That's a way better implementation of natural materials.

That is a Calfee.

Other bamboo bike makers are Brano Meres a hobbiest, and Daedalus Cycles, in Portland.

There's a barber shop in Davis, CA that has a bunch of bamboo bikes out front. They look awesome. Like what Gilligan would have if he had a bike.

bamboo is really really really strong... and its way pretty... someone should make one with black bamboo, its almost the color of cherrywood/mahogany (i get them confused...whichever one is darker)
