Hey Guys,
I am now to this forum and new to the Singlespeed community.
I want to build a commuter bike that I don't have to worry about being stolen while I go inside to grab coffee and I need some help.
I just got a 70s era frame which is in pretty good shape. It's light, made in Belguim, and structurally sound.
I need to replace the following:
wheels,
crank,
bars.
I wanted information on how to buy the parts that I need and where to get them
What kind of parts should I get and is there anything I should be looking for out there on the market that anyone can recommend.
I am very excited to do this build and am looking for any information that you guys could supply.
thanks in advance.

craigslist!- probably nothing super nice (depends where you live maybe) and you can probably find what you want for cheap. That way, it won't attract attention. But if you're worried about getting your bike stolen, just get a small u-lock. Better to spend 5 secs to lock the frame to the wheel than get your bike stolen, no matter how nice or cheap it is.
