3T mutant stem
 

I hate to post a thread like this, but I would love to find one of these stems for my IRO build and it seems to be nearly impossible to find. I need 1 1/8" threadless, standard bars, maybe 100-120 length, in silver. They all but don't exist on websites, when they do they are crazy expensive, and there is one on ebay but it's expensive as well.

I'd just get the one on ebay, but when I search old threads here I see people having bought them for $5 or $10 at chucks bikes, xxcycles, and a bunch of other places in the last few years.

Anyone know of a good place to find one, or have one they want to sell me? Used is fine.

Ahem. Mine is 1-1/8". I have to use a shim for my Pista's 1" steerer tube. I got mine on craigslist for $8.

d'oh! I'm thinking of the cinelli alter.

I'm pretty sure the Mutant has been out of production for a while now. I think the only place to get them is on eBay.

I bought a silver 110 off eBay yesterday or the day before for $20; they turn up for good prices from time to time, but they're generally more expensive now that they're out of production.

mutant quill stem is where it's at. the longer the better.

yeah, they are awesome but I don't want to be really, really stretched out too much. I'm a kinda short guy.

if you like the curvy look, the cinelli groove is another option. there should still be a few on ebay; i picked up a 90mm one a few weeks ago.

I must have gotten lucky if these are so hard to find- I walked into Ye Olde Bike Shoppe in San Diego, asked for a threadless stem and the owner pulled out a 1 1/8 3T Mutant in silver and said "$10".
