Guerciotti frames
 

Does any have info on their track frames. I was wondering what tubing the used on their track frames in the early 80s. Any info you could give me would be great. What would a frame in good condition fetch on the open market these days ?

Many track frames of that era used SLX tubing because on the stiffness. Just a guess.

Are you selling one??

No looking to possible pick one up off a family friend who has it laying around in his basement.

I saw one on ebay a few months ago that went for a little over 500. I pretty sure it was from that era. Im not sure what type of columbus tubing it had.

Apparently someone doesn't visit fyxomatosis.

I def visit fyxomatosis, but that one must have slipped by me or just not registered.

Either way, that is a beautiful bike.

The "used" version of the same bike ('84-'85 GL7100 pista) which is SL, not SLX.

Seatpost, BB, Cranks, Chainring are all ready for it. Need some bolts for the chainring, as well as a headset and fork...

Wheelset might help too....

where did you pick this frame up from? and how much was it if you dont mind me asking that

Beautiful bikes. If money was no concern I'd pick one of these framesets over anything.

gregg-o - are you actually waffling over the decision? Get on that thing! Unless you have so much vintage Italian track steel that another one will just be a pain...

Came from a friend of a messenger (who had passed away) in Brooklyn.

I don't know the user name, metallo pleasante....??? AKA Carson. He had a fantastic blue Guerciotti frame. I believe the seat tube was 64cm. I couldn't even ride it if I sat on the top tube and he still had the seat at a decent height. That bike fell out off of a car I think while he was moving and got ran over.
