Convert a Shimano 105 hub to fixed?

hey all

this is probably an exhausted topic but I'll go ahead: fastest/best way to convert a shimano 105 hub to fixed (currently laced to mavic-ma3)? I'm building a bike for a buddy and i'm using this wheelset but I gotta get rid of the cassette. I've read about the surly fixxer etc. Any other way for a quick (and safe) conversion that i'm missing out on? Should i just buck up and buy a new hub for the backwheel and rebuild the wheel? If i can i'd like to avoid that...

the surly fixxer is the only way to do it. You can also buy a decent fixed wheel for the same price.
