riser bars

it's getting really hard to find low priced/good quality risers anymore : (

deathhare 08-03-07 04:57 PM

So no one is importing the Nitto risers anymore?

mathletics 08-03-07 05:03 PM

Is it?

bfloyd 08-03-07 05:05 PM

why do they have to be name brand? not being a dick, just wondering. by the time you cut them down, and put on grips, your logos will be close to being covered up. perfomance wise, my freebees have held up to months of hard abuse. just curious.

na975 08-07-07 02:55 PM

name brand assures quality, i'm assuming :/

skinnyland 08-07-07 04:09 PM

Is there a label wh0re in your life who is influencing your purchasing decisions? A friend? Sibling? Parent?

.....is it you?

na975 08-07-07 05:44 PM

its just that when you get tired of your old gear, ppl relate to name brand stuff in ads , hence making it easier to unload.

seaneee 08-07-07 06:49 PM

Half of 'name brand' stuff like bars and brakes are just rebaged OEM stuff anyway. If you're gonna worry about name brand, risers should be the last thing you worry about.

Its true really.
I have a set of Nitto risers and they flex quite a bit.
Theyre gold anodized though so thats all that matters. :)

andre nickatina 08-07-07 07:55 PM

deathhare, are you femme?

deathhare 08-07-07 07:59 PM

nope

You're actually worried that cheap-o $10 riser bars won't retain their resale value, yet the depreciation on name-brand bars would almost certainly be greater than $10.

masterjack 08-07-07 09:24 PM

easton EA30 - 29.99 bargain.

na975 08-08-07 05:51 PM

not worried! i can afford to chuck stuff in the river if don't sell : )

shecky 08-10-07 12:56 AM

Wald to the rescue. I love these bars. Cheap, dumb chrome steel. Not much rise, but a nice bend. Not terribly wide, either.

But then again, I have cut up some cheap Huffy bars for use, too. I'm no snob. If it works, it works.
