Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? To the dismissal of all serious riders I will show up Friday since there's nothing else to do.

Blue and yellow bike with pink risers, I'm sure you'll spot it.

Better idea. Instead of showing approval towards other fixed riders, just show tons of disapproval to anyone who isn't fixed. Just ride around randomly punching people in the face.

What about the fixed riders that ride BMX?

Are we awesome ******bags or is that an argument for another meeting?

I thought that most of the fixed gear riders also rode BMX, and that's why there's a bunch of idiots on track bikes doing barspins and backflips and nintendo crap.

All arguments will be held at once in a 10 acre field surrounded by 20' fences topped with razor wire.

Oh hell no. We're talking Great Outdoor Fight style. Our bikes are too pretty to muss up like our faces. Last time I got tagged I was more upset about the blood all over my bartape than my split open chin.

An unknown number of men enter, one leaves... by his own power.

The first thing that popped into my head, considering my ghastly inappropriate humor and the general nature of this board, was a balls to the stem skid with the right arm raised at a 45 degree angle, fingers outstretched. Unfortunalely, my photoshop skills aren't up to par. So I will leave the image in your brain.

I do apologize.

And the fixed gear riders that have brakes and don't do skids, are they not welcome in your expression of solidarity?
