every alex rim i've seen has had a very simple decal that would come off with fingernails in five minutes flat, 1 minute with goo gone.

Real talk-- these things are straight stickers. 5 minutes? Try 5 seconds and no goo gone. No residue, just a clean peel. Don't hesitate on the rims because of the corny stickers. I did, and felt like a dummy after riding them for two days when I realized they come right off.
