Get another long-reach brake? I don't really understand what the problem is.

Long reach centerpull worked well for me.

i bought a bmx brake for an old crap beater the other day and it was too long of reach. arg!

so yeah the guy at the shop told me to scrounge up some old beater bikes and try to find a brake....thing is, i want a nice brake.......

el twe 09-14-07 06:35 PM

The old Weinmann and Dia Compe centerpulls will stop you very well when properly set up.

And if your bike isn't drilled for recessed brakes, then that's pretty much your only option (aside from taking a drill to it.

I've got a centerpull you can have, but I don't really understand the question.

baxtefer 09-14-07 06:57 PM

this is really quite simple
1. measure required reach
2. buy brake with appropriate reach
3.
4. Profit.

I don't know if a TV show or movie used it, but it was a common joke during the dot-com boom, when companies without any viable means of profitability were popping up daily.

So it would work like:

1. Buy digisecents.com
2. Try to transmit smells over the internet.
3. ???
4. Profit!

It's still one of the 8-10 recurring responses to every article on Slashdot.
