Platform pedals (for use w/ clips), wider than Gr-9?

Can someone recommend some fairly inexpensive (<$50) platform pedals for use with clips? Reason is, I will probably ride using soft soled shoes (sperry top sider loafers... don't make fun). I know there's the MKS Gr-9, but those look *really* narrow, even more so than sylvan track's...

Thanks in advance!

Sperry topsiders are awesome shoes. Whatever pedals are on a Cayne uno didn't bother my feet at all with the stock pedals clips/straps. I don't know what the quality level is for them, certainly not MKS quality, but they did the job

I have some topsiders, and they don't bother me riding with MKS sylvans. Then again, I wear different shoes if I'm riding any distance.

Maybe try some studded platforms w/ removable studs?

I should also add, my topsiders are not new by any means, they've been walked in over 100 miles and ridden over 1000 on my old pedals, so it's possible they're just wearing thin and a new pair will be fine. My advice is ride your bike to Kohl's, buy a pair, ride around the parking lot, see how they feel, if they're good, ride home, if they're bad, return them. Kohl's has an awesome return policy, they're pretty much no questions asked as long as you have your receipt.

Hmm. I don't think some of you get it, the mks sylvan road/track have two vertical pieces of metal (the sides of the cage) that supposedly dig into thin/flexible soles of shoes, so therefore platform pedals like cheapo plastic ones or gr-9's have a larger flat surface for stepping on...

Maybe I can get some of those wellgo ones.. or just suck it up and get mks roads..

I've got the MKS Touring pedals on my Cross-Check long distance rider. I use Adidas sneakers when riding, upwards of 100 miles without issue.

The GR-9's are a narrower but I can comfortable ride with the same heavy sneaker I use on the CC.
