Tires
I have had a set of Armadillos (28 on the back and 23 on the front) and am now riding brakeless, my rear tire isnt holding up too well, although i have had it for a year... they match my rust colored Langster, but i think i might try Continental's Gatorskins... any other amazing tires?

Vittoria Randonneur. Not the most supple ride, but awesome for the money.

who can tell me "skid with these..."?
|
I have never had a rear last a year--- even with brakes.
How do you define "amazing"- I find Dillos quite the opposite- they ride like garden hoses, and I have had plenty of flats with them (and they are a nightmare to mount).

Everwears, if you don't mind a crapload of rotational mass. I've been skidding one like crazy for nearly a month and a half and it looks like they have like 2 more months to go.
I would never run one up front though. P.S. I think Soma says something about them essentially being for the skidding fixie rider. 5mm thick tread. ****ty sidewalls though, and as the tread thins I suppose punctures will become an issue. |
tru... never seen soma tires anywhere, maybe ill order one... maybe ill try some garden hose too - cant be dissin the armadillos man
