**Pissed**
So I was planning on ordering a Kilo TT today after i got home from school. I got home last night at 4 a.m. and had class in the morning @ 8 a.m. So i woke up this morning and rode my specialized 10 speed to school like every other day. Well, when i was coming home @ 9:30 i touched my back pocket and no wallet. Well, it wouldnt suck so much if i didnt have $200 dollars in cash sitting in it. My pops also gave me a gift certificate for Ralphs grocery stores for $300 dollars. So by getting up at 730 this morning to be a responsible student i lost five hundred bucks.
FUUUUUUUCCCCCC!!!!!! Rode the route right when i figured i lost it, saw nothing. Called lost and found. Nothing. Checked my dorm...nothing. I dont expect to see my wallet again, especially the $$$. Guess I'll have to put off buying the Kilo TT for another month or more. I was so excited. |
are you sure you even had it on your ride
? people who get home at 4 and have class at 8 might very well forget something in the morning |
Did you check your other pants?
|
bummer. maybe sell your 10 speed right after you get the kilo to make up for losing some of the dough?
|
check your other pocket.
|
wore the same jeans this morning that i wore out last night.
just checked the other pocket...not there |
maybe you lost it last night and not this morning
|
Clearly, the only logical solution to this problem is to sell meth.
|
dont give up yet... lost mine out of my pocket one morning while riding to get breakfast a few years back. retraced my steps. nothing. i was super pissed all day. i was just about to cancel my CC when i checked my facebook account. oh look, some crazy looking chick left me a message. i check her profile. seemingly no attachment or connection to me. go back and read the message. "hey, I found your wallet this morning. i work at the info desk at the student center, so stop by there whenever and I will leave it for you".
so who knows, it might show up still.... good luck. |
Bad situation, but in the least you should be able to retrieve the GC. There should be a proof of purchase or some way to trace it hopefully.
|
my wallet fell out of my back pocket on the ride to work one morning. i backtracked, thought it was gone for good, but then a patrolling police officer beckoned me over at a red light, and produced my wallet. the money in it was gone, but a construction worker found it lying on the ground and gave it to a passing cop.
since then, i have kept it in my bag at all times, in a zippered pocket. |
why i never carry cash. plastic only homie
|
Sucks about your wallet, but maybe it will turn up. There are still good Samaritans left in the world.
On the other hand, stay in school. You may learn why the following logic is faulty...

well, there's no two ways about that one for sure, hell even if you find your wallet there's no reason to ditch the career change, also you're spending all that money on college when meth dealers don't even need to go to college, i bet you feel silly, you're losing hundreds of dollars each day here |
damn man, that really sucks.
|
yea, i also just remembered that i had a $100 starbucks card.
So today i lost a grand total of $600. Just from loosing a wallet. Hating life right now. Sooo poor. |
Sorry for your loss, but. . . . A $100 Starbucks card? Why would you have such a thing?
|
probably for the same reason he had a $300 ralphs card. pops gave it to him so he could drink coffee and buy beer from ralphs

hey. look on the bright side. At least it wasnt taken from you at gunpoint. Now thats a ****ty feeling....
|
from here on out if i ever find something like this ill try my hardest to return it to the owner cause i feel the pain
|
that sucks dude.
better not carry five hundred bucks around in your wallet from now on, huh? |
I've thought that I lost my wallet probably 20 times over the last 10 years. Not, "oh I can't find my wallet, I wonder where it is," but more like, "I know my wallet fell out of my pants 20 miles from home and I will never see it again."
Each and every time I end up finding it (or someone calls to return it) 10 seconds before I call to cancel the cards. I'm not saying you didn't lose it, but I guess there is hope. |
That's why I never carry large sums of cash around with me. Or anything that is cash equivalent to a large sum.
You learned your lesson. |
is there any chance the people who bought the gift cards have the receipts (or paid for them with credit cards)? i would explore the possibility of the store tracking the card or canceling them altogether and getting a new one. i have no idea if anyplace actually offers this as a service, but its worth a shot.
