iro jamie roy owners

was just wondering how you feel these bikes run compared to others (smaller / larger) and your general impressions!

thanks

They have the size charts online. Go to the frame specs page, measure your bike, and compare.

IIRC, IROs tend to run a little small. I know the Rob Roy usually needs to be sized up one; I don't know if that's also the case for the Jamie Roy.

Doesn't IRO measure ST length to the top of the seatpost or some weird thing like that which makes them 'run small'?

jamie roy is semi compact so it's pretty hard to compare it to my current ride, which is a classic road geometry.

any of you 5'7'' riding a 53cm and wanting to downsize to a 50

asherlighn 09-26-07 07:43 PM

I am 5'7" and ride the 53cm. Fits like a glove. I use a 110 stem with bullhorns and do not feel stretched at all.

My other ride is a 54cm 95ish Trek 5200 which fits pefectly as well (not sure if that is relevant, but it might be).

ok well you can't be freakishly different than me and same height, so going to get that iro in 53 (too bad they only have white ones). This way i can tell everyone i don't ride a petite female bike ;d

Thanks for all the advice

SoulCypheR 09-28-07 06:47 PM

exhibitx 09-28-07 06:58 PM

SoulCypheR 09-29-07 03:03 AM

duppy.conqueror 09-29-07 03:42 AM

this bike is the first fixed i got...its wicked, love the way the thing rides and would recommend it to anyone.

cmogi10 03-24-08 12:33 PM

I'm almost six feet but I have short legs.
I ride a 53, could probably ride a 55,
but why make my life more complicated.

lns55 03-24-08 07:54 PM

I'm 5'6" and ride a 50 - it fits perfect. Fun bike I love my JR.

longboarder324 03-29-08 08:14 PM

I'm six feet tall and had a 59 JR. I found the top tube a bit too long for me. The guys at iro said the 56 would be too small but, I think it would have been a better fit. IRO seat tube measurement can throw you off. Go by the top tube.
