Selling my Nishiki to build up this steel/carbon Fuji I got for $10 (serious)

It's going to have bullhorns with bar end shifters, cross levers for brakes, and the Superbe Pro track crank pictured hanging on the Nishiki. It's going to be a MAJOR upgrade, and I should actually end up with a couple spare dollars in my pocket once all is said and done because the frame was basically free.

Oh and the wheelset was $45, Ritchey Aero rims laced to Ritchey hubs with brand new 20mm Vittoria Diamante Pro tires. I don't know if I'm going to use the tires or not, they're really more for racing.

Just finished putting this together, temporary setup. I have a white seatpost that matches the stem, and might add a white saddle and bar wrap. Looking into my options for toeclips, if I want steel or white plastic, not sure yet. I'd also like to have two cross levers.

Looks awesome, blickblocks. I'm looking to build a crosscheck with a single ring in the front, I always thought that was a good idea.

Nice bike. It would be better if it fit you, and that colossal clusterfork brake setup.

that's a fun-looking setup. the seattube looks a bit high on you, but if the top tube fits, then wear it. i've got a 52cm bike that's got not a lot of seatpost showing, but it's a nice frame and the top tube fits, so why pay attention to the peanut gallery of faux bike fitters?

i always liked VD's bullhorn and 1x9 setup (bike that started this thread, perhaps) - bar-end brake levers, shifting done via a Paul Thumbie. might be a bit cleaner than what you've got going on.

i'd like a similar bike...

It looks like it has specialized pantographing on the seatstay caps and fork crown. An old Allez or Sirrus maybe? Whatever it is it rules.

i'm getting an early 90's cannondale road bike. i might take off the small chainring and do something like the guch in the op...bullhorns with TT brake levers, rear derailleur only, and a paul thumbie.

terrible pic, but: Miyata 912 with Nitto no-drop bullhorns, spoke cards, and newly installed race blade fenders for the Bay Area "winter."

the bike looks like it's about a 54cm, judging by the headtube, so no, it's not a small frame.

toe overlap is not unusual on road bikes, particularly on road bikes with more criterium-oriented geometry, which that one seems to have.
