I'm working on a road bike conversion now. Don't know if that counts as a "road bike with fixed gear style". But I'm excited since it's my first fixed gear bike

i may be ignant, but a lot of these bikes just look like older road bikes... bikes that are often turned into conversions. to say that these are "road bikes with fixed gear style" is a bit of a misnomer. Now i understand that road bikes with bullhorns immediately conjure up fixed gear thoughts, but come on, that green bike is just an old road bike........... rant done

custom painted matchy matchy rear racks were often referred to as the "sf treatment" by touring bike snobs of the late 60s and early 70s. I blame old man Holland.

And what's that thing at the rear dropouts? It looks like a derailleur of some sort? A really simple one? How do you switch gears? It looks so simple, yet with so much urban utility.
