Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

How, exactly is that fork supposed to turn?

Or is this just for parking at the coffee shop?

I can see a trace of a seam behind the handlebars. I guess
its supposed to be a hinge mechanism.

I already posted in the jackass FGG thread about it being fugly, but since it has its own thread ill go into more detail…

Im rather insulted that this is called design to be honest. It solves no problems, just serves as mental ************ to try and make something look new by redrawing it with organic curves. To make it seem more technically valid the just go about speccing some rare materials and processes no one could afford. Throw those on some structurally unsound wheels. And what do we have? Garbage. Now I dont discourage people from exploring things, but seeing that htis made it off the sketchpad into their online portfolio is sad.

The wheels seem like they would flex, and possibly bounce, which i think would be fun as hell.

Damn all the hate. I bet y'all woulda been saying the same thing about the safety bike 100 years ago. Its interesting, especially the idea of a more nature inspired design. But I agree paradigm definitely needs to be somewhere in there. Maybe that could be the model name: Para-dig-em
