How far are your feet in your toeclips? And your MKS toeclip size for size 9 feet?

I had some MKS toe clips in size Large previously, which I thought were fine, although now the site I'm ordering a bunch of crap from only has mediums.. and they "suggested" those might be fine for size 9 feet.. well anyway what do you size 9'ers use?

Timely question. I just received a set of large ones because MKS suggest's that for size 9. Now I learn size medium is a better choice by folks who use 'em. I haven't placed these on my pedals yet but never understand why companies do this.

I'm size 10, large mountain-style clips on MKS AR2s. I had medium road-style clips on my road bike but with the Converse I wear I couldn't get my foot in deep enough. If you wear skate style or basketball shoes it would seem to exacerbate the issue. So, it was more the style of the clip, not the size that determined which I bought.

Ugh, seriously?

I just went with the size large MKS clips against my own reason because Benscycle says that that L is appropriate for sizes 8-10 or so. I'm about 9.5.

This is all you need to know...that they were "fine" for you.

or would you rather be uncomfortable with a clip size someone else told you was better for you?

Yea, but you can't tell if "fine" is really "good" unless you know what the other size would be like. You can imagine it to some extent, but trying another size is the only way to really know that L was "fine".

Depends somewhat on the shoe you plan to wear and where you like to have your foot in relationship to the pedal axle. I'm ~9'ish and I went with XL. Using GR-9 and Sylvan Touring pedals with Adidas Goodyear Street, Sambas or the Superstar. And occasionally a tubby set of Vans.

You want the pedal spindle do be directly under the ball of your foot. At least, that's what my tri-racing friend says.
