what do you know/think of these wheels?
My friend bought a set and seem nice, I am thinking about one for myself and want to make sure they are decent!
Thanks

I'm happy with them

I have the Vuelta XRPs on my Kilo TT, I think they are better than the stock Kilo TT wheels, I prefer the low flange look and I'd ridden them on my conversion for a while and trusted them so kept them for the TT. I did switch out to a Dura Ace lockring and cog.

I've been looking for an excuse to buy a new wheelset instead of the Vueltas but I really can't find one.

2 thumbs up from the Scotsman!

i've been having a set for about 1 year now, no complaints
like them better than the formula deep v's

hell nah, standard vueltas run about 3000 grams

the teams are definitely worth the extra $40

you know i am really confused

if you're a roadie, for 200 bucks you can get a bombproof awesome 1750g wheelset. So why the hell are these 2,100g ?!?

euphoria 09-28-07 08:39 PM

yeah, you can buy a fully geared rig for less than what most people spend blinging our their FG.

a rear road hub is not that much more technically superior than a rear track, though, and $160 shipped vs. $200 + shipping is still a bit of a difference

yeah funny thing is, for as much money as people spend blinging out their fixies you can get a LIGHTER geared road bike haha.

and i dont know how much are open pros with ultegra hubs, like 150-200? eitherway im sure it is fairly simple to get a nice pair of wheels for a road bike for like 150 from performance (their titans) or a similar retailer. They're just more commercialized and therefore the supply is greater, it just annoying anyway.

Because they are cheap.

They are heavier than your mom.
