Oury grips.
Thought the BFSSFG was a little slow today and could use another stupid thread.
What's with the abundance of Oury grips? Long standing tradition? "Street Cred"? Superior to all other grips? Or all of the above? 1,2,3...Discuss! |

street cred
|
I bought them because they were the cheapest grips at my LBS.
Also, USA USA USA!!! |
pros: super comfy, good color selection, good pricepoint
cons: they get sticky/gummy on sweaty hands, bike e-snobs call you out |
I swear by 'em.
Cushy, perfect length, no need for bar ends or caps, pretty, colorful (though I only ride black). |

they're just super comfy. better cushion than cork tape but better grip as well. they seem to wear in well too, the more use you put into them, the better they get. i wish they made super long oury's that could cover the entirety of my bullhorns.

^^thanks for the new sig...lawl. :)

They seem to wax and wane in popularity. I remember in the late 90's they were huge with the offroad crowd for a while.

i can say that i'm on my third set of handle bars using the same set up of oury's and they're pretty much still awesome, it's been almost a year of probably an average of 8 miles a day so i'm certainly getting my 8 dollars out of them.
|
they get you laid. duh.
|
I use them on various cleaning supplies; mops, brooms, toilet brushes. Waterproof, comfy, durable, great for around the house.

Be careful, who knows--someone may pm you to take ya up on this chicanery. Ourys are good, thick, long lasting, cushions vibration. |
AND they look f***ing sweet on my matching anodized chopped risers and deep drop nitto stem...
that I don't actually own. But if I did they'd look so awesome, and make me skid like 5 feet further. |
true that. there are some pretty freak peeps out there.
i love that girl's verve and zazz and other stupid names for attitude. this just in, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPDl2g8Upvk |
