Neato.

I heard about some MassArt kid who made some sort of Penny Farthing style bike, and it almost got stolen, except the theif crashed a block later.

This looks like hours of endless fun. Seriously, I would love to give this thing a shot - couldn't be afraid of beating it up though.

i would not trust my life to either of those bikes. ouch.

the first one looks like it got into some serious trouble with optimus prime and the second one looks completely impractical except for taking the girlfriend out for some good old "impressing the kids at critical mass once a month" while you take turns riding backwards....

Hm, yeah, but wouldn't it be awesome to find a good riding buddy and get really comfortable on it? I just imagined some montage in which two people struggle to get way too good at riding it so they can race it in the local alleycat and beat their arch-enemy rider to win some ludicrous challenge and get the girl... girls? back. Yeah, I dunno...

thats what im saying about the girlfriend. I wouldnt take it farther than around the block if i werent comfy on it and didnt think i could blow some dudes out of the water on it. ;)
