Wheel and Sprocket last week shipped me some Weinnman DP-18's ........ I ordered Velocity Deep V's , i was not pleased. But they are paying for the return shipping and getting the proper ones out to me with out question.

They seem like they are nice to work with, more than willing to own up on their mistakes.

Yea, I was happy overall with my purchase from wheelandsprocket but the packaging could've been a tad better.

hahahah

I ordered the Deep V's right when the big post about cheap Weinmanns going up on to ebay and a bunch of people we going for them.

I received the box early friday morning, opened it to expect my Deep V's to be glistening before my eyes and I saw Blue, and i was like "hmm sent me the wrong color" pulled one out and I was WTF??!?!

besides wanting my proper wheels (which were $80 more, made in USA , not china) , i wanted to get them back to the store because so many people were scrambling for them, i didn't want someone to miss out, since some colors were already sold out.

in my opinion i didn't really care much for the DP-18's when i pulled them out, finish wasn't to great and a few nic's in the finish. Although $80's is a decent amount of money, i would reconmend the deep v's over the DP-18's .
Even the un-machined brake surface had a large drop off to the rest of the rims and didn't look too great and the finish around the nipples for the spokes wasn't so hot.
If you were getting the DP-18's get the machined brake surfaces, it would look a lot more clean.

safe to say, someone ordered some DP-18's and got a luckey surprize of red anodized deep v's . Glad some one at least profited.

Try to avoid Bells Bike Shop. I purchased a set of Deep V's from them Sept 22 and have yet to see them, I e-mailed a couple times with no responses and wasn't told that my wheels had even shipped. USPS says they were eventually "picked up" on Wed(10/3) but I'm still waiting; They also are supposed to be coming 2-3 day Priority Mail.

My order could be delayed for various reasons so if you were to order from them you might have better luck.

EDIT: finally received them today(10/9).

Bells has a prob. with shipping I ordered a full deep v for my brother but before that I bought two white deep v's for myself. This was in the middle of last month. And my brothers wheels came in first, three weeks late. I have yet to see my white rims.

Exact reason's I purchased from them as well. They took a while to get here but the wheels are in excellent shape and the packaging was done very well.

They needed to be trued. And three nipples split in half, in the process at my lbs.

I've bought from wheelandsprocket on multiple occasions - they are prone to mistakes here and there (they sent me the wrong size derailleur clamp on one occasion; that was frustrating) but in every time they are very willing to own up to mistakes and correct the problem as best as they can. I generally like them.

Has anyone had any experience with Fly Bike Shop? I've come close a few times to getting some things off them. https://myworld.ebay.com/flybikeshop/
