deep v vs. dp 18....

i guess dp18 is still catching on, so it's maybe a little hard to compare, but i have a definite fondness for my deep v's due to putting them through things that would easily break many wheels i've had in my day. so i'm definitely wary about saving some cash by getting dp-18s...but my current wheels are getting beat to where i think i need to retire them for beater use and get a nice pair. i'm thinking deep v again, but i also noticed dp18 is way cheaper, and has good reviews so far. i just can't help wondering if the deep v is worth the extra cost.

that was a little rambling, i'm tired.

imo, i would say save your money and go with the dp-18's. i have had both rims, and haven't seen any difference in performance.
the velocitys are a bit higher quality, and can be seen at the seams and in the machining, however, with dp's going for around 30 per rim, i can't see spending THAT much of a difference on a rim.
i'm sure some on here will disagree with me, but i say go weinmann.
use the money you saved for something else on your bike.
